During my time with Champions, a KinderCare Education company, I worked with children ages 4–11 in both before- and after-school settings. In this role, I supported students’ academic growth by assisting with California state curriculum activities and providing individualized help with schoolwork. I ensured a safe, structured, and positive environment by supervising students, addressing challenging behaviors with patience and consistency, and promoting social-emotional development through play and group activities.In addition to instructional support, I handled daily operational responsibilities such as signing students in and out of the program, maintaining open communication with parents and guardians, addressing questions and concerns, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality care. I also maintained classroom organization and cleanliness to foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all students.This position allowed me to strengthen my skills in classroom management, child development, family communication, and team collaboration while contributing to a program dedicated to enriching children’s educational and personal growth.
