About Ryan Chang
A product should feel like a natural extension of your body. I\'m interested in how people weave products and experiences, whether real or virtual, into their lives.Using data from carefully designed laboratory experiments, I aim to optimize interactions of people with their tools and their surroundings. To understand people, I use my background in biomechanics, anatomy, clinical work, injuries, physiology, natural motion, athletes, genpop, and, motor control. My core experimental techniques include: 3D motion analysis/tracking, EMG (surface and indwelling), force measurements, high speed video, digital image correlation, user interviews, usability testing
