About Ryan Carpenter
A QA Analyst and Game Designer hobbyist currently working at Side. I have 5 years of experience as a QA Analyst in games. I have experience in ad hoc testing, scripted testing, test plan creation, team leadership, risk analysis, and high priority bug tracking. In my spare time I like to design game prototypes. My specialties, or areas of design I focus on, are level design (2D and 3D) and user interface design/functionality/flow. Currently have experience working in smaller teams from about 3 to 12 people working on a variety of projects both 2D and 3D from larger teams to 40 and in a simulated studio setting. I am familiar with a variety of game development software including the Unity game engine, Unreal 4 game engine, GitHub Desktop, Hansoft, and Jira. My programming knowledge currently consists of the C# coding language. I received my Bachelor\'s degree in Game Design from Columbia College Chicago in May of 2018. While I currently work in QA and my degree is in Design, what I enjoy working on most is level design and I love picking apart and analyzing level design in some of my favorite games.
