ABOUT RYAN C. KAYTON
As Manager of Adaptive Golf at the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) for over two years, I develop and oversee programs designed to make the game of golf accessible to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. My role includes creating and coordinating adaptive clinics, managing equipment donation initiatives, and collaborating with key stakeholders to expand the reach and impact of the program. I also recruit, train, and supervise instructors, coaches, and volunteers to ensure every participant receives a high-quality, inclusive, and empowering experience.I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Sports Medicine and completed my MBA in Marketing at St. Joseph’s University, New York in 2024. This academic background allows me to blend business strategy, marketing, and sport performance principles to build sustainable, impactful programs within the adaptive sports space. In addition to my work with the MGA, I provide private golf instruction to individuals within the adaptive community as well as golfers of all skill levels. I currently teach at several facilities across Long Island, including Northport Golf Course in Northport, Pickle n Par in Melville and Smithtown, X-Golf Commack, and my newest location, Back 9 Golf in Farmingdale. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that everyone learns differently. It is my responsibility to create a customized plan for each golfer that fits their goals, abilities, and learning style. Whether the objective is skill development, confidence building, or simply building a connection to the game, my mission is to provide personalized opportunities that allow every individual to grow, enjoy the sport, and become the best golfer they can be.
