ABOUT RYAN APPOLON
Hi, I’m Ryan. I’m a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Ottawa, combining technical proficiency with practical project leadership experience and systems optimization. My experience ranges from 3D CAD modeling in SolidWorks to building prototypes with 3D printing, laser cutting, and basic machining thereby bridging the gap between innovative ideas and tangible results. I’m passionate about engineering solutions and continuously seek out challenges beyond the classroom. In particular: improving public transportation; optimizing public-use machinery; and designing infrastructure that serves and enhances the quality of life for its communities. I am recognized for being self-directed, detail-oriented, and proactive in taking on technical responsibilities. Communication, mentorship and tutorship are also important to me: I have eveloped working proficiency in Spanish, enabling effective communication and adaptability in multilingual environments; I also have explained to my clients and colleagues tricky mathematical and physics concepts in logic appealing and engaging ways. Fluent in English, French and Spanish, I thrive in collaborative teams and aim to contribute meaningfully to projects that drive sustainable innovation and the development of efficient, responsible technologies that creates real-world impact.
