About Ryan Angi
I am passionate about helping businesses optimize and fine tune their websites and applications through scalable recommender systems. In particular, I love to use contextual bandits technology to allow for continuous experimentation of new assets and experiences and to help the recommender system adjust to changing user preferences over time. I also spend a portion of my time building simulation environments to test out research hypotheses and semi-crazy ideas in a no-cost proving ground and then validate the most successful successful simulations in live production tests. How do I spend my time to be the most efficient and make the largest impact? I generally describe the division of my work as 1/3 Software Engineer, 1/3 Researcher, and 1/3 Product Manager/Feature Ideation.
