I\'m a writer and editor concerned with quality newsgathering, opinion journalism and maintaining a diverse multiplatform newsroom. And I\'m a teacher who wants to share those skills with others. I\'ve done this work all my life because I enjoy it. I meet new and interesting people, I get to tell interesting stories and I learn something every day.I\'ve also become involved in organizations that question how journalism should develop as technology and our traditional business model go through a metamorphosis. How do we provide civic information that\'s critical to our democracy? How do we train new journalists who will work in an increasingly diverse world?
