ABOUT ROBERT W. ROB EICKHOFF

Rob built Design Concepts of North Atlanta into an award winning franchise business, in less than five short years. His company offered interior & exterior painting services to residential & commercial markets. His group completed projects ranging from residential decks to government buildings to square foot factory exteriors. Known as a results oriented executive, effective communicator, leader, mentor, change agent & forward thinking strategist. In his previous role as SVP, Newspaper Operations, for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He led 3,300 sales, distribution, manufacturing & information technology employees & contractors.Under his leadership, his division contributed nearly $100M to the company’s operating profit and a return to profitability, in 2010.Prior to the AJC, he served as Director/Vice President of Circulation & Operations, at Orlando Sentinel Communications after a series of key management assignments at the Chicago Tribune. He also consulted at several former Tribune Company media properties in Los Angeles, Baltimore, Palo Alto and New York. Rob has a distinguished record of military, community & industry service. He\'s served as President of The Southern Circulation Manager’s Association, President of Newspaper Association of America’s Circulation Federation Board & led several national NAA committees on distribution and advertising. Rob\'s served on Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre’s Board, Board of Directors at Valencia Community College\'s Foundation & Chairman of Orlando’s Salvation Army Advisory Board. He\'s been a faculty member & exec-in-residence for Institute for Minority Journalism Education, at Northwestern University & as a guest lecturer at Northern Illinois University’s College of Business where he has also served on the Executive Board of NIU’s College of Business. He’s been awarded an Executive Certificate, in Business Strategy, from Kennesaw State University, an MBA from Governors State University and a BS, from Northern Illinois University.Rob’s military background includes Viet Nam era service with The United States Army’s legendary 82d Airborne Division, as a paratrooper.
