About Rutu Patel
After a glorious career in info/tech/product, in 2021, I made a purposeful pivot to pursue my passion for interior design. Since then I have successfully completed the Interior Design and Interior Architecture certification at UC Berkeley Extension and launched my residential design studio - The Yellow Slide believe in the power of human connection. Our environment has a direct impact on how we engage with ourselves, our families and our communities. Our personal space must accommodate our evolving physical and emotional needs.I design rooms that refuse to do just one thing, think open floor plans, play/hobby/family rooms, shared workspaces, basements, garages, home studios, ADUs and so much more!My expertise in human centered design and behavioral sciences brings a nuanced perspective to the design process.
