About Ruth Levy
I have a private practice in Amherst, MA where I see individuals and couples, and offer consultation and supervision. In addition to talking, I offer expressive arts therapy, IFS, narrative and Buddhist psychology in an eclectic practice informed by the needs of the client.My belief is that people carry strengths and intuitive wisdom that is waiting to be accessed and revealed, Separating the person from the problem allows both client and therapist to view the problem together, creatively and with the benefit of perspective and a strength based witness.Supervision is based on a collaborative model of learning,I was the Team Leader at the Adult Outpatient Baystate Griswold Behavioral Health Center as a therapist and supervisor until August of 2023.I served as Assistant Professor in the Expressive Therapies Graduate Division of Lesley University from until 2020 where I taught Expressive Therapies with Families and Principles and Practices of Expressive Therapies.
