The Corner Shop was founded in 2013 by Emmy and BAFTA winning and Oscar nominated producer Anna Hashmi and DGA winning director Peter Thwaites, later joined by acclaimed director-partner Sara Dunlop to helm the UK company. With offices in LA and London, our expertise extends beyond commercial and branded content, to development and production for original scripted film and TV and documentary feature films. Selected as one of the BBC’s Small Indie Funding Companies, we won a BAFTA with Channel 4 for a scripted series, received an Emmy for best commercial, and released The Tale of Silyan from the Oscar nominated director of Honeyland Tamara Kotevska in December, 2025, winning best Documentary Feature film at the IDA, following premieres at Venice and TIFF. We are accessible, collaborative, inclusive and creative partners - and like a corner shop, we have everything you could need – from all over the world.
