Ruthanne Loar is the Director of Operations for Marcus & Millichap’s Brown Retail Group and one of its Partners. She is directly involved in all areas of the team, including brokering transactions and managing all listings, escrows, property analyses, and staff training. From property analysis, listings, escrows, and closings, Ruthanne oversees all aspects of the property positioning, marketing, and escrow process. Ruthanne routinely communicates with clients throughout a listing, providing marketing updates, document requests, and prospective buyer questions. She regularly attends industry conferences and meetings with clients to review in depth analysis for their properties. Ruthanne is viewed by Brown Retail Group’s most sophisticated clients as a very reputable and trustworthy real estate professional. Ruthanne earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara and worked previously as an aerospace engineer for 5 years. After a brief hiatus from the corporate world as a yoga teacher and practitioner, Ruthanne sought out Marcus & Millichap for a career in commercial real estate. Ruthanne lives in Seattle (Beacon Hill) with her husband, daughter, and their dog. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, being in the sun, and spending time with family and friends.
