In my role as Subsurface Manager for Well-Safe Solutions, I manage all of the subsurface projects, worldwide, providing technical input, oversight and project management expertise to enable the delivery of the subsurface basis of design for abandonment (SSBoD) for our clients. Working closely with our Well Abandonment Engineers, my role is to facilitate the delivery of a detailed understanding of the current and future subsurface conditions, and the criteria for isolation, ensuring both vertical and lateral containment of the geological system. The ultimate aim is to delivery a cost effective and optimised well abandonment design which satisfies all of the subsurface isolation and regulatory requirements.
