About Ruth Schmidt
As a junior at Connecticut College pursuing a major in Quantitative Economics & Econometrics and a double minor in Finance and Government, I am interested in the world of finance and economics both in and out of the classroom. On campus, I am very involved in academic and athletic settings. As a member of the Women in Finance and Peggotty Investment Clubs, I look forward to a year of events and networking with alumni. Outside of clubs, I am an accounting tutor as well as a Pre-Business Career Fellow in the Hale Center for Career Development. Athletically, I am a member of the Varsity Women\'s Rowing Team. Professionally, I am excited to be joining SMBC\'s Capital Solutions Group in the New York office in the summer of 2026.
