ABOUT RUTH MARSDEN

Currently working within the Strategic Projects team of BAM UK & Ireland as a Project Manager, mainly focusing on BAM\'s Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture.Recently completed a secondment to CRASH, the construction industry\'s charity, as an Assistant Projects Manager. Key responsibilities include engagement with Corporate Patrons, charities, and key project stakeholders, managing and progressing all current projects, and reviewing project applications. Utilising my prior experience and knowledge to best support projects covering the breadth of the construction industry. Previous experience focusing on completions and handover for the Eiffage Kier Ferrovial BAM (EKFB) joint venture, delivering the central 80 km of HS2 Phase 1, and in numerous roles across Royal BAM Group as the first international Trainee on the competitive Design Management Graduate Scheme. In four placements across two years, experience included design optimisation at EKFB, reviewing tenders from project teams across Europe, delivering BAM\'s 20••••23 strategy, and assisting the project management of commercial developments. Actively involved with the Institution of Civil Engineers, currently serving as Graduate Member on Council and part of the International Early Careers Network committee. Head of Finance for the Young Professionals in Construction London group, and Chair of the Future BAM Network, which promotes knowledge sharing and networking across BAM\'s UK & Ireland Division.
