ABOUT RUTH HANNAN
I bring together my experience of service delivery, policy influencing, system change and participatory practice to explore how societal inequalities can be addressed at the local, regional and national level.I have fifteen years experience working in the third sector where I worked at a local and national level. For five years I led on the Triangle of Care programme for Carers Trust, leading the programme to national and international recognition. I have extensive experience working with and statutory services, supporting them through system change processes as well as working with national policy makers to shape health and social care policy. I am the Chair and co-founder of the community group Gorgeous Gorse Hill and have worked extensively with the local community to develop a more involved role for citizens with their local authority. I am a Trustee of Gorse Hill Studios a charity supported young people who are excluded from mainstream education using creative methods to help them achieve their potential. I am passionate about system change and ensuring people (especially those most marginalised) have a say in the systems that affect their lives.
