The Innovative Finance Lab (IFL) is a collaborative venture established by the National Bank of Ethiopia and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)- Driving financial inclusion in Ethiopia: Bridge the financing gap for SMEs(Small and medium enterprises) and startups- Fostering SME growth: Supporting SMEs and startups through pre-investment support, access to finance, and capacity-building initiatives- Promoting innovative financing solutions: Contributing to developing and implementing innovative financial products and services to meet the needs of Ethiopia\'s growing SME sector- Building a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem: Collaborating with stakeholders to create a supportive environment for SMEs and startups to thrive and contribute to Ethiopia\'s economic development.As an intern at the Innovative Finance Lab (IFL), I contribute to the Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), supporting Ethiopian SMEs in achieving investment readiness. By providing pre and post-investment support, we build strong financial models, enhance operations, and develop effective governance structures. This enables SMEs to secure funding and drive sustainable growth.

ABOUT RUTH GIRMA
I\'m a Data Analytics and Business Administration Finance major passionate about using data to inform financial decisions. I participated in the CFA Research Challenge with the CFA Society of Iowa and I am currently preparing for the CFA Level I exam. I\'m eager to find opportunities where I can contribute to the dynamic finance sector.My background in data analysis and strategic financial skills gives me a unique edge in financial analysis and business intelligence. Through my studies and hands-on experience in data analytics, I\'ve developed the ability to tackle complex financial challenges and drive innovation.Outside of academics, I\'m always looking to learn and grow. I stay curious, exploring new methods and technologies to enhance my skills. I have a great interest in the intersection of finance and technology and am excited about projects that shape the future of finance.
