ABOUT RUTH PATERSON
I am experienced in the environmental field and hold a PhD in marine science. I am experienced in applied science and using data, and I have helped ensure that large marine and terrestrial development projects meet environmental regulation and commitments. I have worked across many sectors and with many different kinds of people, from operations and technical specialists to local communities. Right now, I\'m focused on creating a practical plan to improve how we monitor and manage Scotland\'s protected areas, both on land and at sea, to achieve national targets to halt nature loss by 2030 and towards restoring nature by 2045.
