ABOUT RUTH DICKEN

Having joined the Sainsbury’s IT department straight from University, I have spent my entire working life on IT and ERP projects giving almost 40 years’ experience. I have worked at two major consultancies, KPMG and CMG, and spent 24 years working as an employed consultant before moving to work on a contract basis. I have worked as a Project Manager over many years but also have extensive experience of most project activities, including business analysis, design, training, data migration and testing, I have an excellent understanding and in-depth experience of many business processes, particularly finance. As a Project Manager this enables me to understand the tasks that my team are undertaking and to better work with them and with end users to accurately plan, prevent issues arising, address issues that do arise, and ensure a timely and good quality implementation. This is evidenced by my excellent track record of on-time deliveries. I have implemented in and for many countries around the world, which means that I have an open mind to end user requirements, and the experience to ensure that key requirements and localisations are included.I have had involvement with over 80 different companies and projects. I have acted in a Lead or Project Management role on around 50 projects and I have worked on over 40 projects involving the entire end-to-end process, from project initiation to go live support.I have recent experience project managing Microsoft D365 for Finance and Operations at Just Eat.
