ABOUT RUTH DE SILVA
As a knowledgeable and highly experienced environmental practitioner and project manager with over 17 years of experience, I have a wealth of skills and knowledge required to deliver and coordinate successful environmental projects. I have knowledge and experience of a wide range of both marine and terrestrial industries, including large infrastructure projects, expertise in Habitats Regulations Appraisal (HRA), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and project consenting, as well as practical fieldwork experience. In addition to environmental expertise, I am an experienced project manager (including budget management), and have managed staff and project teams on both onshore and offshore projects. I also have a wide range of stakeholder management and engagement experience throughout the UK, as well as business planning and tendering experience. As team and project manager, I also have a great deal of experience of report quality assurance (QA) including QA of EIAs, HRA supporting documentation, species licencing applications, and Construction and Environmental Mitigation Plans (CEMPs) for large infrastructure projects.Particular areas of interest are large infrastructure projects, offshore renewable industries, marine mammals, upland habitats, and environmental legislation.
