ABOUT RUSULENNI CASTRO

I am a revenue accounting manager at Canva, the online design and publishing platform that empowers millions of users to create stunning visuals. With over eight years of experience in accounting and finance, I have developed strong competencies in accounting, financial accounting, analytical skills, internal control implementation, and finance. I am also a proud recipient of the El Mundo Boston Latino 30 Under 30 award, which recognizes the impact of the Latino community in various fields.In my current role, I oversee the revenue accounting operations for Canva\'s global business, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency of revenue transactions and reporting. I collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, operations, legal, and engineering, to support the launch and readiness of new products, markets, and platforms. I also design and implement revenue recognition policies, procedures, and controls, and provide guidance and training to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, I leverage my analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to optimize processes and drive innovation. My mission is to enable Canva\'s growth and success by delivering high-quality revenue accounting services.
