I consider myself to be an experienced corporate attorney, having practiced exclusively in the corporate area for the last 30 years. The core of my practice is mergers and acquisitions and always has been as I enjoy the excitement and challenge of the deal. Out of that practice, several things have grown over the years. In particular, I have done a lot of work in the accounting firm industry. This includes partnership agreements and mergers and acquisitions. I have been recognized by Accounting Today as being one of the 100 most influential people in the accounting profession. I am also outside general counsel to many privately-held companies generally in the range of $20 million to $200 million in sales. My CPA background and general interest in finance helps me in counseling clients. In my representation of clients, I try very hard to understand the business, industry and general personal needs of my client. We have a very strong corporate group that help support the work that I and others do.I am the Department Chair of our Transactional Department (consisting of Corporate, Real Estate, Trusts and Estates and Intellectual Property) and completed my nine-year term on our Executive Committee. As such have a great deal of experience in running a business myself.
