About Russell Belk

Russell is a founding partner of Sutherland & Belk, PLC, a family- based law firm that helps injury victims. He was born and raised in Sweetwater, Tennessee. There, he learned the small town values he uses everyday to help his clients. Russell obtained his Associate of Science degree from Cleveland State Community College in 2002 where he also played basketball. He completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2004. Russell is a 2009 graduate of the Nashville School of Law where he graduated with honors ranked 6th in his class earning him a membership in the prestigious Cooper’s Inn Honor Society. While in law school, Russell was a student member of the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court in 2009. Russell is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Tennessee. He has been a member of the Tennessee Association for Justice since 2008. In 2012, he was appointed as a Presidential Nominee to the Tennessee Association for Justice’s Board of Governors, and he currently serves on the Board today. He has been a member of the Nashville Bar Association since 2007. Beginning in 2012, Russell served on the board of the Nashville Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division. He has been a member of the American Association for Justice since 2009. Russell was recognized by his peers as Best of the Bar for 2014 by the Nashville Business Journal.
