ABOUT RUSSELL WINDSOR

I am an orthopaedic surgeon in New York City and practice total joint replacement of the hip and knee. I am Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Weill-Cornell Medical School. i have had also great experience in the design of total knee replacement and have designed the RHK (rotating hinge knee) and ZUK (Zimmer unicompartmental knee) as well as other designs. I was president of the American Knee Society in 2005 and am a member of ISAKOS, AAHKS, and the American Knee Society, and also the AAOS.I also consult with investment managers on health care industry as it pertains to joint replacementI have been involved with the American Austrian Foundation Salzburg Seminars, Open Medical Institute for about 15 years. These seminars are orthopedic educational weeks for the purpose of educating orthopedic surgeons and traumatologists from Eastern European countries.My current interests include computer assisted navigation, total knee replacement in the young and robotic surgery. I also have a great expertise in hip replacement surgeryI also do many different procedures on the knee, including ligament reconstruction and surgery for disorders of the patella, and arthroscopy.My other interests, non professionally include playing classical piano works. Also, i collect wine and am involved in travel throughout the world for orthopedic education
