Preparing and executing numerous accounting related functions such as inventory freight, cost of goods sold, outside sales, various inter-entity accounting entries (Provincial Health Services Authority, Interior Health, Fraser Health, etc.), deferred revenue, GST filing and returns, PST filing, PHSA/MOH grants, zero bottom line accounts and AP queries Managing the deferred revenue database for Northern Health Training new Accounting Clerks on various accounting related functions Updating and reconciling Northern Health’s Statement of Financial Position for purchases and accounts payable monthly, quarterly and at Y/E Coordinating the AP Query monthly with various pivot tables and thousands of lines of invoices which affects many Northern Health departments (Contracts, Physician Compensation, Capital, General Ledger, etc.) Demonstrating strong mathematical skills in calculating various accounting related areas Coordinating thousands of detailed trial balances for specific accounts and updating numerous accounting related pivot tables Ensuring all the period end, Q/E and Y/E responsibilities in my portfolio are coordinated and completed before deadlines Entering thousands of journal entries in the accounting database (Meditech) and following the organizational procedures for entering backup accordingly Preparing critical financial reports for management decision making, such as deferred operating contributions report, monthly Hotel and Air reports, CEO expense reports, board remuneration and meeting expense reports and inventory reports Providing auditors with necessary backup information which hugely contributed to two unqualified/successful year end audits for Northern Health Contributed significantly to the coordinating and preparation of the Statement of Financial Information (SOFI) report for Northern Health’s two prior fiscal years
