About Russell Conn

I founded Conn Kavanaugh in 1988 with three colleagues after practicing in a large Boston firm for the first eleven years of my career. Today the firm employs forty attorneys with a full array of legal services.I tried my first case in 1978, and have tried over 100 cases since, from complex jury trials to construction arbitrations. I am experienced in both the state and federal courts.My specialties include business litigation, professional liability, employment, construction, products liability, and insurance coverage.In more recent years I have developed a special emphasis in handling complex professional liability and coverage/bad faith claims on a nationwide basis. This includes handling cases in multiple state and federal courts throughout the United States.For the last twenty-five years, I also have represented executives in all aspects of their employment relationship, including employment and severance agreements, post-employment restrictions, change-in-control agreements, and corporate investigations.Resisting the urge to specialize, I especially enjoy providing general counsel to numerous businesses and individuals, providing a perspective and judgment the product of handling literally thousands of cases over the years.
