My practice is focused on family law/domestic relations, with additional work in estate planning, elder law, litigation, mediation and collaborative law.In addition to my traditional law practice, I am trained in alternative dispute resolution methods including collaborative practice and mediation; Collaborative Law is a confidential process in which parties to a dispute commit to reaching an out-of-court resolution with the assistance of collaborative-trained counsel, and sign an agreement to stay out of litigation until and unless all other options have been exhausted; Collaborative is an option for any and all kinds of disputes and should always be considered; Collaborative has most common application in divorce, child custody, probate/beneficiary disputes, neighbor/property disputes, and workplace issues. Most importantly, Collaborative provides an avenue to resolve a conflict without destroying important relationships and incurring the financial and emotional toll of litigation. As a mediator, I offer mediation services to parties seeking a private and confidential alternative to litigation for any type of dispute, including divorce/custody/family issues, civil litigation/personal injury, workplace and business disputes.
