I am delighted and honoured to have been appointed as The Principal of Haringey Sixth Form College. I would like to thank and pay tribute to Rob Thomas for his outstanding leadership over the last academic year. The staff at the college working with Rob have provided an excellent platform to move the college forward in the challenging times and circumstances we face in the years ahead.My priorities as Principal is to continue and develop this excellent work;• By leading a culture of ambition and commitment to excellence. • Continuing with the drive up in quality so that a rating of ‘outstanding’ is possible at the next Ofsted inspection. • Achieving enrolment targets. • I will articulate and implement a clear vision for the student experience and student outcomes. • I will work effectively with governors, advisers and partners, and with external agencies, to plan and secure a sustainable future for our sixth form provision. As Principal I secure a climate for the exemplary attitude to learning of students and set standards and expectations for high academic standards within the academy, recognising differences and respecting cultural diversity within contemporary Britain. As the Principal I lead by example the professional conduct and practice of teachers in a way that minimises unnecessary teacher workload and leaves room for high quality continuous professional development for staff.
