About Russ Hartz
Experienced Corporate Development professional, with specific expertise in M&A, strategic investments and post-merger integration. I am responsible for global M&A activity at Ansys, including identifying and evaluating deal opportunities, negotiating deal and managing the transaction process. In this role, I work with and advise senior business leaders across the entire organization to successfully drive the transaction process to conclusion and plan for effective sales growth and operations post-deal.Prior to joining Ansys, I served in a similar role for 12 years as part of SAP\'s global Corporate Development group, negotiating and managing M&A and other strategic transactions of all sizes from multi-billion dollar deals to sub-$1M IP acquisitions and investments. I oversaw the transaction execution and integration functions during my last several years at SAP, managing a team of ten professionals based across the US and Europe. I started my M&A career in practicing corporate and securities law for more than 6 years at a large Philadelphia law firm, primarily representing clients in M&A and financing transactions.
