About Russ Aikman

Russ has more than 30 years of experience in continuous improvement for both manufacturing and service businesses. His expertise is primarily in implementation of Lean Six Sigma and Operational Excellence programs. He has performed process improvements in a variety of environments, including manufacturing and service/transactional processes. Russ joined TMAC in 1996 and is the Program Manager for Lean Six Sigma at The University of Texas at Arlington. In this role he serves as the lead instructor in teaching over 100 Master Black Belt, Black Belt, Green Belt, and Executive training courses. He has also served as a coach for Senior Managers, Black Belts and Green Belts. Russ has worked as project manager with over a dozen different companies in the development of their ISO quality system. He has also worked with a variety of companies on implementing lean enterprise projects including value stream mapping, setup reduction, cellular / layout, kaizen events, and pull systems. In addition he has taught several Lean workshops to over 500 individuals. Prior to joining TMAC, Russ worked as a consultant for Accenture and George Group. He also worked as an engineer for Baxter Healthcare and Lucent (formerly AT & T Technologies).
