ABOUT RUSHIL LINGICHETTY
Intro: Hi! My name is Rushil Lingichetty and I am an aspiring professional with a passion for problem-solving, leadership, and technology. Please feel free to send me a DM or reach out to me at r••••••••@gmail.com Education: I\'m currently a junior(Expected Grad. May 2026) studying Information Security & Computer Science at The Ohio State University. I am part of the honors program as well as the Morrill Scholars Program(MSP) sponsored by Ohio State\'s Office of Diversity and Inclusion. MSP provides a full tuition merit scholarship to academically talented students who are actively engaged in diversity-based leadership, service, and social justice activities in order to inspire advocates and champions of diversity, inclusion, social justice, and academic excellence on campus and in the broader community. As a Morrill Scholar, our cohort consistently works to host unique events promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion(DEI) on campus. Background: I was born in Houston, TX but have lived in Columbus, OH for the vast majority of my life. I am a U.S. citizen authorized to work without any sponsorship needs. Skills: Throughout my education, personal projects, and diverse professional experiences, I have developed proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C#. Additionally, I have gained extensive experience in full-stack development, working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, PHP, and various databases. Currently, I am expanding my skills to encompass AI/ML as well as various cybersecurity concepts. Leadership/Extracurriculars: Beyond my academic pursuits, I am deeply passionate about dance, which I channel through my involvement with OSU Origins, my university\'s premier nationally competitive Bollywood-Fusion dance team. Serving in a captain/manager role, I get to oversee both dance and logistical operations, which allows me to develop my problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills while creating a 10 minute dance performance. Working with my fellow captains and overseeing the rest of our e-board and dancers, I\'m fortunate to collaborate with a talented group of dancers and leaders. I\'m also involved with Buckeye Mela, one of the largest collegiate dance competitions in the nation where 16 college teams come to compete annually. Here I serve as VP, overseeing various logistical elements of running a dance competition such as team registration and finances, as well as organizing a mixer where teams get to meet and socialize over dinner and games.
