ABOUT STEPHAN RUPPERT

As a Principal Product Manager with over 20 years of experience in Transport & Logistics, I bring a proven track record of delivering global products that solve complex logistics challenges. At PTV Logistics, I am responsible for product management of PTV Developer, a suite of APIs designed to optimize route planning, emission calculation, and logistics efficiency for businesses worldwide. I have held diverse roles in product management, including sales-oriented positions such as Solution Director reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and technical roles reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This mix of experience includes responsibility for SaaS and API solutions, each requiring unique approaches to meet the needs of end-users and developers. This has provided me with a balanced perspective on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. Highlights of my achievements include- Introducing CO2e/CO2 emission calculations within PTV products, helping businesses achieve sustainability goals- Leading solutions for route optimization, dock scheduling, and truck navigation, solving critical logistics challenges- Creating Truck Parking Europe from scratch as an internal start-up, now supporting truck drivers monthly. The app has reached 1.5 million downloads and continues to grow after its sale to another company. Successfully running since 2013- Contributing to industry standards as a DIN/CEN Working Group member, including work on the EN 16258 standard for emissions calculations. Using SAFe® 6 Product Owner/Product Manager certification to lead agile product development with a focus on value delivery. Combining deep industry knowledge, modern product management practices, and leadership, I drive solutions that improve efficiency, support sustainability, and deliver business growth across the logistics ecosystem.
