ABOUT RUMMAN MEER
I\'m obsessed with understanding how things work and finding ways to make them better. As a child I used to pull apart all my toys and build spectacular contraptions which marvelled my parents. These days I concern myself with pulling apart businesses and finding ways of utilising people, processes, and technology to deliver tangible improvements that delight my stakeholders.I am currently leading the development and delivery of a strategic growth portfolio within M&S. Previously having worked within the award winning consultancy, KPMG Boxwood, as well as at TfL, I have been responsible for identifying, developing and delivering high profile programmes. During my career I have secured over £100m in funding for projects that range from the development of bespoke software to the purchase of new passenger ferries. My portfolio of initiatives has, and will continue to, improve customer experiences, deliver operating efficiencies and transform financial performances. My varied career, education and specialist interests have given me a very broad range of competencies - strategy, analysis, investment appraisal, operations management, sales (B2C & B2B), research and marketing. As a result, I have the rare ability to lead highly complex multi-disciplinary projects and foster collaboration between diverse groups of individuals. My professional values, personal attributes and interests can be summarised as following- I have to understand something before acting upon it. Lack of understanding results in mistakes and mistakes cost money- My strategic thinking is grounded in reality. Everyone has big ideas, but lacking understanding of practical implications often results in disaster- I can\'t resist solving problems and/or finding ways to make things better- I have an extremely high tolerance for adversity and uncertainty- I have a passion for science, technology and motor sports (particularly F1)Get in touch if you want to talk about business or any mutual interests
