Global Capex & MRO Buyer – South Asia |@Unilever AccountProcurement | Strategic Sourcing | Project Capex | MRO | Warehouse Equipment | FMCGAs a global procurement professional, I currently lead Capex and MRO sourcing for Unilever’s South Asia region, supporting high-value and technically complex procurement needs across all five of Unilever’s business groups – Beauty & Wellbeing, Personal Care, Home Care, Nutrition, and Ice Cream.In my role, I manage a wide portfolio of procurement responsibilities across greenfield, brownfield, and expansion projects, including:CAPEX Categories Handled:>Civil Construction & Infrastructure (greenfield expansions, utilities, plant buildings)>Process Equipment (blenders, reactors, heat exchangers, mixers)>Filling and Packing Machines (liquid, powder, sachet, tub, and bottle filling lines)>End-of-Line Automation (palletizers, shrink wrappers, case packers, conveyors)>Utilities (chillers, air compressors, WTP/ETP)Warehouse & Logistics Capex – including:> Pallets (plastic, wooden, racking-compatible)> BOPTs (Battery Operated Pallet Trucks) etc.Key Responsibilities1.Lead end-to-end sourcing projects, from stakeholder requirement gathering to commercial closure2.Conduct RFx events, technical-commercial bid evaluations, and contract finalization3.Develop supplier pipelines, drive vendor negotiations, and manage total cost of ownership (TCO)4.Ensure procurement compliance with Unilever global processes and sustainable sourcing standards5.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance6.Support strategic business initiatives such as sustainability, digital procurement, and cost transformation
