Working from the Vodafone World HQ campus in Newbury, UK, I\'m passionate about business-critical systems design; I first joined the UK\'s National Performance and Optimisation team. A couple of months later, I moved to the Vodafone Group team with a broader scope - Europe. Directed by the Network Strategy & Engineering department, I aim to accelerate and enable transformation through a unified Pan-European Digital Network and OSS Telecommunications network environment, driving massive Element Management Systems (EMS) forward and Operations Support Systems (OSS) simplification, Digital Networks and Zero Touch initiatives.

ABOUT RUI ALMEIDA
My everyday goal is to wake up and figure out how to make mobile networks I work with even better than yesterday. My core belief is that services provided by Telecommunications Service Providers and IT companies should and can be enhanced every day. I can help achieve that. I start with a strong focus on IT and Operations Support Systems (OSS) optimisation strategies. I am ROI-oriented and pull all my experience in system design, planning, delivery and operations, the right way.I can easily communicate with both technical and non-technical customer representatives. I used to mentor junior and senior team members in the OSS domain. I know I can help drive society forward into the future by enabling end-users to have unique experiences using IT systems, mobile networks and services. My peer network notably recognises me for my analytical thinking process, out-of-the-box troubleshooting skills and unparalleled in-depth experience with critical system acceptance testing (SAT). My position in life brings me to the point of challenging mobile networks tools design, suggesting product changes and feature improvements to most of the significant Radio Access Network (RAN) vendors. I mastered a comprehensive set of IT and OSS tools, Mobile Network data interfaces, Element Management Systems (EMS) mediation protocols and Network Management Systems (NMS) applications.I look forward to working with companies not afraid to seriously think about getting their rightful ROI back from significant year-after-year OSS investments. I also am on the lookout for those companies who can invest in the future via strategic OSS optimisation and automation initiatives that positively impact their customers. With my contribution to better networks and systems, I contribute to a better society and best-in-class Telecoms/IT systems. I\'m sure some companies share my service mindset.
