As part of the Worldwide Grocery Store Technology (WWGST) organization, I lead an 85-person cross-functional team spanning software development, product management, and technical program management that powers global grocery operations. My teams deliver mission-critical inventory management, quality, availability, and inbound systems supporting quick commerce sites, 100+ fulfillment centers, 50+ fresh stores, and 500+ retail locations across North America, Europe, India, MENA, and Japan.My teams own a comprehensive suite of smart supply-chain tools and dashboards managing produce defects, expiration, shelf-life, quality control, and inventory accuracy. These are powered by 22 backend services processing ~800 transactions/second using AWS-native solutions—DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda, SQS/SNS—with Java microservices, real-time event-driven systems, ML-powered computer vision, and CDK v2 templates. We\'re pioneering GenAI development with 100% adoption, achieving 60% AI-assisted coding (target 75% by 2026).Our systems process 24 million inventory signals daily, predict inventory for 4 million items, and enable 5 million transactions per day.
