ABOUT LUCA RUGGERI
I\'m very often the \"last mile\" guy, the accountable one who gets things done. My professional life is split into two parts. The first one was from 2003 to 2013, as an ICT/TLC engineer working for many big corporations like Northrop Grumman, Ericsson, Huawei, ZTE. Here I\'ve built up a solid knowledge of designing, planning, implementing, and managing Country-size fiber optics and smart city networks. Then, from 2014, I strongly focused on lean startup and business development, becoming a recognized expert on Platform & Ecosystem thinking and design, helping organizations, entrepreneurs, up to single individuals to shape attractive platform business models. In the same period, I founded a startup, Scuter, in the smart mini-mobility and climate tech industry.The journey to lean thinking and to entrepreneurship eventually led to the co-foundation in 2018 of Boundaryless, the company behind the Platform Design Toolkit, the world-leading most actionable methodology to design platforms and ecosystems strategies, nurturing the new mindset necessary to look at the complexity of interdependent systems. Currently, I\'m responsible for the Platform business model design unit, complemented by the other company branch that focuses on designing great ecosystem organizations, the 3EO method derived from Haier\'s Rendanheyi. Now, following my \"transform your life every 10 years\" mantra, I\'ve understood that results and track record are fundamental and good models need the boost of capital investing to thrive and have a transformational impact on our planet. So, my very next objective will be to complement the platform thinking skills with venture building and venture investing.
