I lead a group of researchers in the department of aeronautical requirements and control of the propulsion system. The aim of our Control Concepts and FADEC group is to pave the way towards a Full Authority Digital Engine Controller to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrified aircraft engines. The focus is on the development of control and monitoring strategies for individual components of electric and hybrid-electric drives as well as for the entire system.
