Experience
Assoc Scientist, Post Doc Fellow
Jan 2024 — Present · Rahway, NJ, US
Conducted high-throughput, target-based screening to identify small molecules that modulate actin polymerization in human macrophages exposed to amyloid beta aggregates and discovered compounds that modulate the PLC/PKC signaling pathway- Assessed actin polymerization in M0, M1, M2 macrophages using a 384-well image-based assay and identified M1 macrophages as the most responsive to amyloid beta aggregates- Established a phenotypic genomic screen involving CRISPR and Cell painting to investigate the impact of Alzheimer’s disease-associated genes on myeloid cell responses to amyloid-beta species (oligos, fibrils, plaques)- Applied AI/ML techniques (Random Forest, K-Means, Hierarchical clustering, Similarity score) to analyze image-based, high-dimensional data to identify effects of small molecule and genomic perturbations- Delivered scientific presentations through a TED-style talk and poster sessions at the Merck Technology Symposium- Coordinated monthly Postdoc seminar, organizing speakers, and managing event logistics to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
