As a Senior process engineer at Johns Manville,I provide my expertise to improve the quality and performance of extrusion process of the TPO roofing membranes. I involve in extruder screw design research, Formulation trials, work in team to bring new lines, technologies and process optimization via softwares, technology upgrade and innovation.I hold a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering Science from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, where I conducted selective hydrothermal liquefaction of lignin, a renewable biomass resource, to synthesize value-added phenolic monomers for green chemistry and sustainable energy applications. I have published multiple papers in prestigious journals and obtained a patent for this innovative process. I am passionate about finding solutions for the global challenges of carbon neutrality and resource efficiency through materials science and nanotechnology.
