Worked with Commercial Model Development team on developing and improving commercial loan loss forecasting model to evaluate how likely commercial borrowers were to defaultRotational Development Program (July 2022 - July 2023):• Consumer Modeling- Conducted exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Python, plus PySpark, to understand how often consumer customers, who did not have a savings account open in a specific month and year, had a new one opened two or three months later and also how their household balances changed after two or three months - Developed gradient boosting models (GBM), trained on a response dataset created using consumer banking customer dataset, to understand how the difference of household balances had changed for customers who had opened a savings account two or three months after a specific month and year• Commercial Banking Model Development- Performed exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Teradata SQL and Python to understand the importance of certain variables in a dataset of commercial banking customers that could contribute to evaluating similarities between them - Produced similarity matrices and top 5 similar instance charts using Python, utilizing Manhattan and Hamming distance metrics, to evaluate similarities between customers and to help relationship managers (RM) of the Commercial Banking Model Development team efficiently identify the customers with the highest chances of financial needs / sales opportunities - Drafted solution design documents (SDD) to explain importance and overview of customer-customer similarity model and shared updates during optional recreational team events
