Second placement as part of the PGCE course, taught KS3 and KS4 Geography online through live lessons and in person following covid guidelines, while attending virtual CPD sessions- Taught lessons online with a blended learning approach. This approach used 30-minute live lessons to cover key concepts with the class with planned follow up independent work for students, designed to grow and embed this new knowledge- Planning and delivering inclusive lessons across KS3 and KS4, differentiated to ensure all students can access the key material, whilst providing scaffolding to support the advancement of learning for higher achieving students- Using the exam board specifications and examiners reports to support KS4 lessons both through writing and skills based questions- Worked with the oracy ‘working party’ as part of ongoing CPD at the school, discussing how to help student’s oracy skills in a cross-curricular approach- Working on a 1 to 1 and small group basis with year 11s to help them prepare for assessed work this year and cover knowledge gaps missed in lockdown.
