My passion for automation began after seeing Dean Kamen demonstrate a bionic arm—an inspiring moment that led me to explore how software and electronics can control mechanical systems. Since then, automation engineering has become a lifelong pursuit. I believe it has the power to transform industries and improve lives.I began my career at National Instruments (NI) as an Applications Engineer, supporting clients and teaching NI-based hardware/software. I was later promoted to develop demos and customer solutions, including Automated Test, Control, and Monitoring Systems. I eventually relocated to Brisbane to manage NI’s business in QLD and WA—an invaluable opportunity to work closely with engineers and scientists across Australia.In 2015, I moved to the U.S. to work with MoviMED/MoviTHERM, an NI partner, where I expanded into Vision Automation with 2D, 3D, and Thermal cameras. I worked on solutions for Procter & Gamble, Medtronic, and others, learning how to lead diverse teams and deliver under tight timelines.In 2018, I joined Cochlear as a Senior Test System Engineer and was later promoted to Senior Vision Automation and Test Engineer. I focused on automating vision inspections and upgrading test systems in a regulated medical environment.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I joined Ellume to scale up automation for their diagnostic tests. After securing a major DoD contract, I helped launch a U.S. factory capable of producing 500K tests/day and was promoted to Director of Engineering.In 2025, I joined Novo Nordisk as Automation Manager, leading the transformation of a brownfield site into a smart factory using Batch Automation and AVEVA PI—continuing to push the boundaries of automation in pharmaceutical manufacturing.I am also a Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) and a Certified Vision Professional - Basic (AIA).
