About Rucha Joshi
I am currently a Platform Design Technical Specialist at Cummins Inc. I have completed my Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the Ohio State University. With the increasing emphasis on Multi-Disciplinary Design Optimization, Reliability based engineering and Design for Manufacturability, my interests lie in the areas of Product development and Optimization to meet the immense challenges in maintaining the high performance of products.Being a part of the SAE BAJA team of my college, I have led a subsystem which developed a multi-tubular spaceframe chassis for the All-Terrain Vehicle. My role involved not just designing, but vendor development, material procurement, inventory management and marketing. As a working professional in the NVH Testing department of Bajaj Auto Ltd, a leading motorbike manufacturer based in India, I got an opportunity to demonstrate a comprehensive perspective towards problem mapping, analysis and validation by collaborating with R&D, manufacturing plants, vendors and quality.Further experience as an intern in the technologically advanced facilities at Cummins Inc, Indiana, has given me an opportunity to work in vibration and strain data acquisition and data reduction by cross functional collaboration and resource management.My skillsets:• CAD packages: CATIA, PTC Creo and AutoCAD • CAE packages: ANSYS Workbench and Hypermesh• Testing and Validation: LMS Test.Lab, B&K’s Pulse Reflex, Labshop and Vibrant Technology’s MEScope, LabVIEW• Documentation: MS Office
