About Ruby Semenchuk
I am a junior Architectural Engineering major with hands-on and team-based RAM Structural Systems, Revit, and AutoCAD project experience. Current GPA 3.84. I interned as a structural engineer during the summer of 2023 in St. Louis, continued the work remote from my college through second semester of sophomore year, spent summer ‘24 with the same company in Kansas City, and am now continuing a co-op through my junior year before returning for my third summer. As a structural intern, I used hand calculations and given information to determine vertical and lateral loads on structures and roof equipment, before using information from ASCE 7 and the AISC Steel Manual to select appropriate steel members. These structures were modeled in Revit and RAM Structural Systems and analyzed for stability. I also worked with other interns and collaborated with other disciplines to ensure all systems were working together in order to create the most efficient and cost effective deliverable.
