About Ruby Germack

My name is Ruby Germack and I am a third year Pitt Business student majoring in Marketing with minors in Economics and Italian, and a certificate in International Business. Coming into college I was unsure about what I wanted to pursue. This changed when I went to visit a family member in Italy and saw them participate in their job revolving around marketing on an international scale. This sparked my interest, and upon arriving back at Pitt, I immediately declared a Marketing major. In order to pursue this passion, I have been seeking out internships in order to get hands on experience. In the Spring of 2024, I worked doing social media marketing for a teen outreach center in Pittsburgh. Through doing this, I discovered how involved marketing can be with interacting with the public, leading my passion to grow deeper. The main goal of my efforts was to attract awareness to the center in order to increase funding. As a result of my efforts, the center was able to display their daily events, and how the community could get involved, increasing such awareness. Following this, I completed a full-time marketing internship at Move to Prague, in Prague, Czech Republic in the Summer of 2024. Gaining this full time experience, especially abroad, expanded my knowledge of not only marketing, but marketing on an international scale and differing markets.
