About Ruby Flaherty
I am a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison pursuing a dual degree in Textiles & Fashion Design and Environmental Studies. Passionate about a career in the fashion industry, I am particularly interested in sustainable design and the intersection of fashion and environmental responsibility. I have participated in pre-collegiate programs to strengthen my design expertise and gained hands-on industry experience as an intern at Oscar de la Renta. At UW, my coursework has deepened my interest in digital textile design, where I work with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Pointcarre—tools essential to modern design careers. My goal is to contribute to a more sustainable fashion industry by integrating innovative materials, ethical production methods, and circular design principles into my work.
