Lead engineer on over $260M of solar and energy storage projects for utility, commercial, and municipal customers. Projects include ground mount, landfill, rooftop, and carport installations. Managed electrical, civil, structural, and communications design for 130MW of projects. Performed electrical engineering design calculations and generated construction drawings in AutoCAD. Managed utility grid integration process by submitting interconnection applications, reviewing impact studies, coordinating utility design, and performing utility witness tests. Provided engineering guidance to project managers and contractors throughout construction by responding to RFIs, reviewing equipment submittals, and making site visits for construction control. Managed equipment procurement by providing equipment specifications, reviewing vendor proposals, and negotiating costs and lead times. Inspected installations and performed system startup to generate commissioning reports. Ensured projects conformed to applicable codes, utility requirements, design drawings, and contract documents. Identified operating concerns via remote monitoring interfaces and developed solutions to ensure energy production met contractual guarantees.
