About Rubie Frey

I have developed a desire and awareness for balance in my life while working in a variety of positions, maintaining high academic status at a prestigious university, walking in my faith, participating in athletics, community service, and leadership positions. I strive to keep that balance as I challenge myself academically, find community, join and lead extracurriculars, and expand my professional background. I am driven by my curiosity and passions in women\'s health, nutrition and holistic health, photography, cooking, the outdoors, tennis, service and spending time with friends and family. I am eager to expand my network in the professional world to gain more insights, especially in the field of medicine and women\'s health. May of 2023 I began working as a Medical Assistant at a women\'s health practice. I went in holding my passions for women\'s health close to my heart, but also realizing this will be time for me to let those passions just be or really foster them and light a fire inside of me. That fire was enlightened and continued to grow larger as I spent time understanding direct patient care, researching specifics of services and diagnosis, and learning from successful physicians. The physicians put trust in me as I was even requested to assist in surgeries while learning and desiring to continue on this path of medicine.As a current student at the University of Georgia, I am majoring in Biological Physiology with minors in Nutritional Sciences and Biology on the Pre-Medical Track. I am involved in Biomedical Physiology Society as the Director of Public Relations, Mercy Health Clinic Volunteer, the Catholic Center on the Executive Board, a researcher at the Ye lab, and Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority as the Director of Philanthropy.
