look into new technologies and create PoC-when new requirements for the platform are created ( eg dev teams needs something new ), i design and architecture the requirements to fit into our existing infrastructure and design patterns ( and create PoC\'s )-main technical contact for the wider team-SME for our infra stack and it\'s technologies : AWS, Terraform, Hashicorp Vault, Kafka, Zookeeper, Redis, Kubernetes, Bastion-24/7 contact point for P1 and SevC issues ( we have a global team so no need for on call, I am the exception to that )-Project Lead for long spanning projects ( eg 6 months or more, usually migrations to new technologies which need to be done globally, region by region )-Perform sanity checks on our technical work, by inspecting the ongoing work at random intervals, including peer reviews, pull requests and definition of done-AWS Champion: driving AWS development and AWS products in our stacks-Security Champion: bi-weekly meet with other champions to talk about the state of our application and infrastructure security-Slack Champion and Admin-Jira Champion: creating custom workflow to support the teams BAU-Architect Review Board : consultant for infrastructure and security, where new software features/services are approved ( usually not )-Weekly TIR ( technical implementation review ) to review planned and emergency ( this is adhoc, not weekly) production changes before they go to CAB ( change approval board )-Maintainer of an inhouse built CLI: over 40 commands to make life easier for the teams and perform mundane tasks that are done in minutes rather than hours-completely written in bash and sqlite for least dependencies but i am in the process of rewriting this into Rust-integrations with Okta, AWS, gimme-creds, kubectl, jenkins, Vault, Kafka, Bastion, and more

Platform engineer in a devops culture. SaaS, IaaS and PaaS. In: AWS, Kubernetes and Helm.Terraform, Vault and Consul.Jenkins, Nomad, Git.Bash, NodeJS, MarkDown.Security first, ask questions based. Not interested in long commute or relocation. Full Remote is preferably ( exceptions can be made).Permanent roles only.I drive to create applications and projects with the latest technologies to be fast, secure, robust and minimal foot prints while scalable.I work on Linux, use Inteliji IDE, help out with open source where possible and keep myself up to date.If I have to do a task more than twice I usually look for a way to automate it or to write a script for it ( my goto is Bash ).A Possible Dream Job : When a team/company wants me for me and not to fill a position or open vacancies, and are willing to even invent a position for me because they think me and my skillset would be a benefit to the team/company, regardless of their being a need for it.( I know, to all recruiters, this probably will clash with the way you work, but that is your problem, not mine not looking for a role right now!
